In our Livingston office, agents have the opportunity to contribute a portion of their commissions to a fund designated solely for donations to special projects within Park County. The agents strive to encourage and support imagination, innovation and excellence by providing a financial resource for projects that positively impact and enrich the lives of our community. The Community Reinvestment Fund was recently utilized by two local entities. The Student Leadership Group at Sleeping Giant Middle School is working to fund a project to greatly improve their locker rooms. They will be replacing broken fixtures, purchasing new shower curtains, installing soap/shampoo dispensers, and providing towels that will be washed in the school laundry facility. The facilities are currently getting used very little due to their state of disrepair. The students believe the upgrades would increase usage after gym class and sporting events, as well as be used by students for whom this may be the best daily showering option they have. ERA agents partially funded this endeavor in the amount of $400. Montessori Island kindergarten students presented their current fundraiser of selling Valentine Balloon-O-Grams. This project is two-fold. Their request was for ERA Landmark to purchase 100 of the gifts that would then be distributed to Counterpoint, Frontier Assisted Living, Caslen Living Center, and the special education class at Park High School. The proceeds from the sales would then be used toward building a bike path on the school's playground. This project was funded in the amount of $500.
