The REALTORS® Conference & Expo is the largest annual event for real estate professionals in the United States and The National Association of REALTORS® is America's largest trade association, representing 1.3 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries. During the session, Erlenbush and Chorew highlighted some market segment growth opportunities to watch out for in 2019 including Urban Boomers, International Buyers, Vacation and Second Home Buyers, Luxury Consumers, and emerging commercial trends. Robyn quotes, "This is the fourth time we've spoken at the REALTORS® Conference. The luxury and international markets started our interest in trends; yet, every year as we do research new patterns emerge. Everything from driver-less cars to electric scooters that were at one time just talked about are becoming realities. One example of a recent trend has come about with the continued success of large online retailers. As digital shopping grows, brick and mortar malls will diminish. There is a great opportunity to re-position shopping malls into residential housing units, churches, day cares centers, and offices."
