Summary
We've all had Wilcoxson's Ice Cream - if you haven't, you should. This unpolished, slightly chaotic gem, sitting at the corner of 3rd and Lewis, is Harold Wilcoxson's home, built in 1910 by his parents. Harold was a creative man; over the years, he moved a wall here, put a porch there, made a rental apartment upstairs, relocated a bathroom or two.. & he LOVED shag carpet. So, yes, this is a fixer. Not a run-of-the-mill "I'll redo the kitchens & bathrooms" fixer, but one which will take a particular kind of creative vision & effort & patience. Oh, & money, too. This house can never be what it was, but it COULD be a spectacular, open plan, spacious & eclectic masterpiece. The basement would be amazing for local Halloween parties or, I suppose, for storage too.The upstairs apartment is a huge plus & the location is about as perfect as you can get in Livingston - two blocks from Main St & set in the heart of some of the town's loveliest architecture. Come take a look. See what YOU can see.
