About Tara

Tara Radosevich was born in St. Petersburg, Florida on March 6, 1990. At a young age, she held a strong compassion for animals and the American West. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she told them, “An Artist and a Cowgirl.” Drawing came naturally and she drew the wild animals she craved to be near in the North American wilderness, a far cry from her suburban upbringing. In 2013, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, focusing in Painting, at the University of South Florida. After graduation, Tara Radosevich returned to her hometown determined to further learn more hands-on experience. Whereupon she met sculptor Mark Aeling and painter Carrie Jadus. She applied for a one-year term position working at their fine art gallery, Soft Water Studios, and worked as an artist assistant to Carrie Jadus. The skills, business knowledge, and experience she has gained working for both professional artists have only strengthened her confidence in her abilities to continue advancing within the art world. Tara has been featured in a few magazines including Southwest Art Magazine's: "21 Under 31 Young Artists to Watch in 2018" and Cowboys and Indians, article, "Best of the West." From 2016 to 2020 she was a part of the Pinellas Park Arts Village and had a studio where she worked at 5663 Studios among other artists. Following her dream to live out West, she is now home in Bozeman, Montana.

About Tara's Work

"My passion for creating art is fueled by my love for animals and the American West. And since moving to Montana-boy howdy! - has my passion and inspiration absolutely soared! For the first time to get to watch up close in real life the Western American wildlife standing right before me has been a lifelong childhood dream of mine. Not on television, not a photograph in a book, and not caged in a zoo. But getting to finally stand there, watching them interact in their natural environment, anticipating their living, breathing presence, staring eye to eye-that is what gets me the most. Sometimes it’s even one of those happy surprises- being in the right place at the right time. Often what I like to call a Gift from God. Because for me it is. It is the most exciting part of my creative process. Back in the studio working from photographs and other tangible source material like antlers, helps me to achieve technical realism. But the intent of my work runs much deeper- to express the living essence and powerful magnetism of these animals. I seek the Sublime. And these wildlife encounters, these memories, each has a story to tell."

Our Pledge

ERA Landmark has always approached hanging artists in our office a little differently - instead of taking a commission from art sales, we ask our artists to donate a small percentage towards a local charity or nonprofit near and dear to their hearts. Tara has pledged to donate 15% of her art proceeds from any sales to United in Light Draft Horse Sanctuary, who in turn provide "Acres of land created to retire all mature draft horse breeds that have been rescued from an untimely death. They are rehabilitated to their optimal health and allowed to live in a herd family with other draft horses throughout the rest of their lives." To further help support Tara's cause, ERA Landmark will be price matching a donation of up to $250 as well towards the same association.

United in Light: Draft Horse Sanctuary
