Happy Retirement, Ray Atteberry!
Posted on September 14, 2021 by Becca QuackenbushERA Landmark has the bittersweet pleasure of announcing that Ray Atteberry, one of our longest-standing and beloved agents, will be retiring! Ray will be moving to Idaho with his wife, Katherine, to be closer to family and enjoy some peace and quiet.
Ray and his wife, Katherine, have two children and have lived in Bozeman since 1973. Ray was a member of the Gallatin Empire Lions Club for 25 years and has been an advisory board member for the Bozeman Area Battered Women’s Network. He is a graduate of the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Bozeman program and has instructed subsequent classes. He has had extensive involvement with the Montana Association of Realtors serving as a state director, chairing the state Professional Standards Committee, and serving on the Risk Management Committee. He also has served as President (2), Vice President and Local Director of the Bozeman and Gallatin Association of Realtors®, chairing the Grievance Committee, the Nominations Committee, and the Multiple Listing Committee, and serving on the Fair Housing, Ethics, Education, Government Affairs Committees. He recently has retired from his position serving as President of the Board of Directors of the Big Sky Country Multiple Listing Service.
Ray earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the College of Idaho in 1962 and completed graduate work in public administration at George Washington University. Prior to becoming a Realtor, Ray worked at the Internal Revenue Service, the Civil Service Commission, and the Bureau of Census. He has attended numerous real estate continuing education classes over the past 28 years. Ray Atteberry is an active, established, full-time real estate broker, first licensed in 1974, and has been with ERA Landmark since 1978. He is extremely knowledgeable about the community, the real estate market, and the processes involved in making good decisions for his clients. From his 30 years of continual real estate involvement in the Gallatin Valley and his community activities, Ray brings an informed, direct, stable, yet energetic approach to helping customers and clients understand the community as well as the real estate market. He is committed to helping his clients make good decisions that will enhance their quality of life, and in the coming year Ray will achieve his status of Realtor Emeritus with ERA Landmark.
Ray Atteberry has been licensed in real estate since 1974 and began his career with ERA Landmark in 1978. He has been a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) since 1980 and has held a Graduate Realtor® Institute designation since 1977. Ray was recently honored with the National Association of Realtors® REALTOR EMERITUS status for over 40 years of realtor involvement and service. Among his many real estate awards are Montana Association of Realtors Salesman of the Year for 1977; Bozeman Board of Realtors® Salesman of the Year for 1977; the ERA Jackson Customer Service Award for 2000; 2005 Gallatin Association of Realtors® Realtor of the Year; and 2005 Montana Association of Realtors® Realtor of the Year. He also has been a member of the ERA Leaders Circle in 1994, 1997, 2000-2007, and 2010-2016. Ray specializes in relocation, new construction, residential resale, and subdivision land brokerage.
Among his many titles, awards, and achievements, Ray will be missed very much not just from his clients, but from everyone who has had the delight of working with him. For a chance to say farewell and reminisce on the years, we would like to invite any friends and affiliates who have worked with Ray in his 47 years to come and celebrate "Ray Day".
