The Breweries
Stop 1: Nordic Brew Works | Featuring a menu as well crafted as their beer brewed right next door at Polar Brewing, Nordic is one of the best and only westside breweries in Bozeman. Conveniently located within The Market at Ferguson Farms just off of Huffine Lane, we encourage our Bozeman Brewery Crawlers to kick off their exploration here. Between the wood-fired pizzas and fresh, daily specials, you can pair any local brew on tap for a well-cultivated meal.
Stop 2: Bridger Brewing | Heading 10 minutes away and just southwest of Montana State you'll come upon Bridger Brewing. Soon to open a second location and rumored concert hall in Three Forks, Montana, Bridger Brewing's reputation has grown as a staple to brewery seekers in Bozeman. Offering award-winning craft beer to pair almost too well to their signature pizzas, you can always catch live music and community "Pints with Purpose" support. As our second stop for the Crawlers, you can also try your hand at homebrewed root beer to cleanse the palate before heading off to stop #3, only a brisk walk away.
Stop 3: Bunkhouse Brewing | Head north and hang a left for a 3-minute jaunt to Bunkhouse Brewing to experience a brewery focused on the tradition of true Montana brewing. Though this brewery is smaller than our first two stops, it presents its patrons weekly specials supporting Community Pint Nights, Educator Wednesdays (supporting teachers), and Student Sundays to name a few. Their dedication to unique, small-batch brews will surely wet your whistle for some truly well-brewed beer.
Stop 4: Mountains Walking | Jumping across Main Street ten minutes and into Bozeman's Brewery Historic District, we land ourselves at our intermission stop with Mountains Walking. This halfway mark for our Bozeman Brewery Crawlers will find the beer and pub food a welcome sight to kick off the second half. Inspired by the tradition of brewing and the beautiful mountain ranges Montana boasts, Mountains Walking brings you experience from all around the world. Spending the same amount of time and effort on their food as they do with their brews, you'll find the perfect menu for the season. We recommend you eat here again before continuing to stop #5! You won't regret it.
Stop 5: Bozeman Brewing Company | Only a stone's throw away, you have to try a taste or two at Bozeman's oldest original brewery, Bozeman Brewing Company. Established in 2001 and owners of the famous Bozone Select Amber Ale, the warehouse tasting room has since been a local favorite and point of regional pride. The taste is in the experience, sustainability, and love for beer. If you happened to plan your Bozeman Brewery Crawl on a Sunday, you will most likely be supporting Sunday FUNDay, in which 10% of sales benefit the cause of the day. Become a true Bozemanite and enjoy this brewery before heading a few blocks down to our second to last stop.
Stop 6: FreeFall Brewery | Drive on down only 5 minutes west to 7th Avenue to the recently opened FreeFall Brewery. Growing from the original Audrey's Pizza Oven, the long-established Bozeman pizzeria here since the 1960s, FreeFall Brewery spans over six generations of Montanans to bring you some of the best microbrews the valley has to offer. Family-owned and operated with the original pizza and expertly crafted beer makes this stop one of the best on the list. Beer and pizza go together better than peas and carrots.
Stop 7: Last Best Place Brewing Company | Skip across the street to the end of the block for our last stop on our Bozeman Brewery Crawl at Last Best Place Brewing. Last on our list, not because of any rank, but rather for the pun of it. Its namesake being Montana's famous slogan, enjoy one of this new brewery's ten beers on tap made in-house. The fun never stops with their top-notch food trucks and live music every Sunday night and trivia every Tuesday.
Other Must-Visit Breweries
When creating our version of a pub crawl, the idea of highlighting all of Gallatin Valley's breweries just made sense. Narrowing it down to a possible single-day endeavor was the hard part, and we want to encourage everyone interested to give these other local breweries a try! Madison River Brewing Co, New Ventures Brewing, Outlaw Brewing, MAP Brewing Company, Lockhorn Cider House, Valhalla Meadery, and Dean's Zesty Booch are all winners in our books. For those who are planning on trying out our guided crawl, we do not condone drinking and driving and ask that you partake in a fun and responsible way.
