For the second consecutive year, Bozeman has been recognized as the No. 1 college town in America by RentCafe.com. The ranking highlights the confluence of factors that make Bozeman an exceptional environment for students, including the affordability and quality of education at Montana State University (MSU), a highly educated local population, and abundant access to natural amenities.
RentCafe also noted Bozeman's thriving ecosystem of startup companies and established major employers, providing significant internship and career development opportunities for students.
MSU continues to experience robust growth, with spring 2025 enrollment reaching a record 16,237 students, marking the fifth consecutive year of spring semester enrollment increases. As Montana's largest university and a Carnegie top-tier research institution, MSU offers an extensive range of academic programs, including over 250 undergraduate and 115 graduate areas of study.
