Season of Giving 2024
Posted on December 2, 2024ERA Landmark's Season of Giving is well underway! Our commitment to our community shines brighter than ever during the holiday season. Our agents and staff are dedicated to making a positive impact in our communities, and this year is no exception. The Season of Giving tradition dates back to 1984, when we started selling Christmas trees from our parking lot and over the years, this initiative has evolved and grown in many ways. This joyful season is kicked off by Can the Griz and includes fun community events and donating to local charities from our Christmas Fund. Keep reading for more about our Season of Giving and ways for you to get involved!
Can the Griz Food Drive
The annual community-wide food drive, Can the Griz, is a beloved tradition in Bozeman. Leading up to the Brawl of the Wild football game, our agents dedicate their time to collecting food and cash donations for the Gallatin Valley Food Bank. They reach out to their network, knock on doors, and even offer doorstep pickup to gather as much as possible. This year, our team's efforts resulted in a remarkable 2,937 pounds of food donated! We're incredibly proud of our team's dedication and the impact they've made on our community. The Bobcats also took home the win on and off the field this year, with Bozeman beating out Missoula in the friendly Can the Griz competition with a whopping $652,876.87 compared to Missoula's $649,278.11. Although we love a win, we are so grateful to be a part of such a powerful fundraiser to support all our neighbors - Bobcat and Griz fans alike.
Gifts for Children and Christmas Fund
We partner with organizations like The Salvation Army and Children First, Inc. to fulfill their wish lists for children around the valley. Our agents love shopping for these gifts and it's a heartwarming way to spread joy and make a lasting impact on our community. This year we bought over 70 gifts for children around the valley! Every year in December we designate a portion of each closing for our Christmas Fund that is company matched and donated to multiple local non-profits.
Annual Gingerbread Competition & Livingston Christmas Stroll
We love hosting our Annual Gingerbread House Competition at our downtown Livingston office. Entries can be dropped off at our Livingston office at 215 S Main December 2nd - 5th, 8:30AM - 5PM. The Christmas Stroll is the place to find it all!
Big Sky Coat Drive
The 2024 Big Sky Collaborative Coat Drive is accepting gently used, clean winter coats until November 30th. These collected coats will then be distributed to community members at The Wilson Hotel on December 4th from 1 to 6 PM. Local donation sites include First Security Bank, American Bank, and BASE. A special donation day will be held at BASE on November 13th from 4 to 6 PM where donors will receive a free day pass to BASE in exchange for their coat donation.
The Big Sky Rotary Club is collecting cash donations to purchase new coats, and thank you to Persnickety Cleaners who is offering complimentary cleaning services for up to 200 coats to ensure they are ready for distribution.
The annual Big Sky winter coat drive is supported by multiple Big Sky businesses including our ERA Landmark Big Sky Office which will be helping to transport and distribute coats.
