New Proposed Development Near Bozeman Library

Proposed Seven-Story Building Near Bozeman Library

Developers are seeking approval for a seven-story mixed-use building near the Bozeman Public Library. The project, located on East Babcock Street, would encompass 46 residential units, 80 parking spaces, and ground-floor retail spaces.

Height and Affordable Housing Incentives:

To achieve the desired height, the developers plan to utilize the city's affordable housing ordinance. Instead of incorporating affordable units within the building, they propose to contribute land on North 19th Avenue near Durston Road for the development of affordable housing units. Preliminary modeling suggests this land could support more than 30 affordable units.

The public notice period for this project has now concluded. The city will now review the submitted plans and consider public feedback before making a decision on the project's approval.
